Q&A BLOG

  • WHY IS DETAILING EXPENSIVE?
The bottom line is, we should be charging more. But that's not overly realistic for a customer and we try to keep the payments to a bare minimum. Automotive Detailing is no different to mechanical repair jobs when it comes to cost. There are so many expenses involved when running a business. This includes restocking chemicals and equipment on an on-going basis, fuel, house bills, providing for family. For workshop owners, they'll also need to keep the roof over their business. Cost can also become higher if it's a professional detailer, using high-quality and costly equipment, compared to an amateur detailer, using cheaper products to deliver the job.
  • DO YOU CLEAN THE HEADLINER?
Yes. Well, sort of. A vehicle's headliner is the most delicate part of the entire vehicle. No tools, including steam or water should be used on a headliner to prevent sagging and ripping apart. The most that can be done, is by using a correctly diluted All Purpose Cleaner with a Microfibre Towel and wiping away dirty marks. Bearing in mind in some cases, it may not be possible to restore and a new headliner replacement may be the only option.
  • WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN CARNAUBA WAX & SEALANT?
Sealant Pros: Durability Carnauba Wax Pros: Everything else True Brazilian carnauba wax is offered by Apex Finish Detailing. Packed with maximum amount of carnauba wax in a tub, it produces a rich & warm gloss to your vehicles paint and leaving it buttery smooth. Carnauba Wax is great for water beading too, unlike most sealants. Yes, the durability is better with sealants, lasting up to 6 months and carnauba wax up to 4 months. But the protection is slightly better with high quality carnauba wax. Great protection for dust, water spots, tree sap and bird poo etching.
